Where to Find Fall Colors near Leavenworth
Located along the Wenatchee River and within walking distance of downtown Leavenworth, this is the perfect place for a relaxing stroll. The wooded trails are best experienced during the fall and offer up to three miles of easy hiking. Only a few blocks from Front Street, Waterfront Park is easily accessible from any of the downtown parking and makes for a great spot to explore after browsing the many shops.
Regarded as one of the best places to see fall foliage in the entire state of Washington, Lake Wenatchee offers nearly 500 acres of beautiful forest, beaches, and waterfront views. During the peak, trees surrounding the lake reflect their colors on the smooth, glassy surface of the lake. Located just west of Leavenworth, Highway 2 travels through Tumwater Canyon as it weaves through the Cascade Mountains. The canyon begins where Highway 2 passes over the Wenatchee River and continues for about 9 miles until the narrow canyon opens up to the town of Leavenworth.
