Description
Over the mountains and through the woods, to Grandmother's house, we go!
Welcome the “Granny's on the River”, where we invite you to experience country living at its
finest. Built in 1984, this family heirloom cabin rests in a forested setting
on the banks of the beautiful Chiwawa River and will surely create a sense of nostalgia while
providing you with all the comforts of home. From the antique phone on the wall to the
collection of classic children's books in the guest room upstairs, this cabin will surely transport
you back to a simpler time where we were unplugged and spent time with family and friends.
The open kitchen, living room, and dining area will make for easy conversations and enjoying each
others company while preparing meals, playing games, or cheering on your favorite sports team
during the big game. For those wanting to enjoy a nice soak after a fun-filled day of adventure,
there is a large, private enclosed hot tub adjacent to the home. When you are ready to call it a
night, there is a guest room just off the kitchen and a sofa sleeper in the living area on the main
level, or you can head upstairs to find a second guest room and the master bedroom. It's only
fair to warn you, you may have a fight on your hands once you see the final sleeping option...a
king bed out on the covered deck of the master bedroom. Imagine sleeping outdoors with the
added protection of a roof overhead, screens to keep the bugs away, and listening to the sound
of the river just 30 feet away. For those feeling really adventurous, you can even sleep outside
in the winter months under extra bedding and the added electric blanket to keep you warm.
You can snow machine right out the door of this cabin to your favorite trail or enjoy the endless
summer, fall, and spring activities in the area such as a day trip to Lake Wenatchee State Park
or some fishing on nearby Fish Lake. Of course, lounging by the banks of the Chiwawa River
under the pines in a hammock can really recharge the batteries as well. Granny’s on the River is
a wonderfully unique place to stay and a great place to create your own lasting memories.
Downtown Leavenworth is 19 miles away and Stevens Pass is just 29.8 miles from the cabin.
The cute town of Plain with basic amenities is just under 5 miles away.

Natasha is totally awesome!!! She is very helpful, extremely polite and respectful and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure her customer's are pleased.
Sean is also great! He always is helpful with every aspect of doing business through his company and he possesses a vast local knowledge and willing to share his knowledge/experiences.
The house keepers are very conscientious about their cleaning, enough that upon entering the cabin on my last visit I was asked if I was pleased with how good the cabin smelled.

Our stay at "Granny's" was exactly what we had planned...it can easily be summarized in that now have another rental lined up for next month (my son and his family are also repeat customers of Love Leavenworth). Thank you Love Leavenworth!!!
