Leavenworth is a dog-friendly destination!
Since Front St. became pedestrian only in 2020, outdoor seating has become a staple of Leavenworth dining. In addition to getting to take in the amazing scenery and beautiful weather with your meal, more outdoor dining means more pet-friendly options for locals and visitors alike. So if your ideal travel companion is of the four-legged variety, there’s no reason to leave them behind when dining out at these Leavenworth dog-friendly restaurants.
Icicle Brewing Company
A true Leavenworth original, Icicle Brewing has a fabulous patio to match its exceptional beers. Take in the fresh air on a warm summer afternoon or cozy up to the fire-tables on a chilly fall evening. You’ll see all breeds of people and canines alike enjoying this popular hangout. Beyond beer, they have a delightful selection of small bites and other beverages, not to mention a rotation of weekly entertainment from ping pong tournaments to trivia night to live music. Bonus tip: if you’re visiting the second week in May get a spot on the patio for prime viewing of the Bernese Mountain Dogs in the annual Maifest Parade.
Bushel & Bee Taproom
While not technically a restaurant, Bushel & Bee (simply The Bee to locals) takes dog-friendly to the next level. Dogs are welcome inside as well as on the patio and there are dog toys to match the games and puzzles for the human customers. Our favorite thing about The Bee is that you can bring your own food. So order that pizza or pick up a burger and meet at Bushel & Bee where you’re sure to meet some of the best dogs in town. It is strictly 21+ so they definitely cater to the fur-babies in our lives.
O’Grady’s Pantry
This dog friendly Leavenworth restaurant is located outside the hustle and bustle of downtown at the scenic and tranquil Sleeping Lady Resort. Start your day in the shadow of the Enchantment Peaks with a coffee and pastry or take a break from adventuring with a hearty lunch on their spacious patio. O’Grady’s is a perfect place to stop before heading out on an Icicle River floating trip or heading back from a hike at dog-friendly Icicle Gorge Loop further up Icicle Road.
Heidelburger Drive-in
Nostalgia combines with delicious food at this drive-up burger and milkshake stop. Nothing hits the spot after a day on the river or on a mountain hike like Heidelburger. Enjoy the shade and misters of their outdoor dining area (no inside seating) or order to go so you and your pup can get back out on the trail. Not to be discounted is their designated parking lot so you don’t have to worry about finding a spot in the busier city center.
